Running Local Errands

With advance notice and subject to availability, runs local errands such as picking up member's groceries, transportation to a medical appointment; etc. (In no case will Broken Hearts Connection transport minor children.) 

Basic Household Cleaning

For members who are unable to do so because of illness, incapacity, or other challenges, provides free basic household cleaning for that member.

Administrative Support

Provides adminstrative support to the Broken Heart Connection Leader in such areas as contacting fellow team members, coordinating with other ministries under the direction of the Leader, and other areas of support.

REQUIREMENTS TO SERVE
All team members serving members in person must pass a satisfactory background check, and those running errands must have a valid Texas driver's license.

Everyone
1. Ability to participate in all mandatory training (dates provided in advance)

3. Love for and interest in other people who are experiencing loss and life-event challenges
4. Availability/teachability/humility
5. Ability to maintain confidentiality (with the exceptions of confidentiality laws, usually including child or elder abuse and danger to self and/or others)
6. Psychological/emotional stability
7. Empathetic
8. Compassion through personal life experiences 
9. Active listening skills
10. Willingness to pray aloud with member if needed
