DLF NEIGHBORHOOD MINISTRY

SERVICE OPPORTUNITY: PACKING FOOD BOXES
Note: This opportunity is related to, but different from the Food Distribution Ministry that takes place twice a month on Saturday mornings at Christ Community.

Role: Packing Food Boxes for Dallas Metroplex families in need (incudes boxes that will be distributed from Christ Community)
Location: Dorothy Moore Youth Center, 1411 N. Peak Street, Dallas, TX 74024
When:
2nd Fridays, Noon - 2:00PM
4th Fridays, Noon - 2:00 PM
Saturdays, 8:30AM - 11:00 AM

DLF YOUTH MINISTRY

SERVICE OPPORTUNITY #1: POWER LUNCH ADMINISTRATION
Role: Register students (ages 9 to 18) and help keep order during sessions
Location: Berkner High School, 1600 E. Spring Valley, Richardson 75081
When: Thursdays during school year, 10:45AM - 1:30PM

SERVICE OPPORTUNITY #2: POWER MENTOR
Role: Mentor students (ages 9 - 18) during after-school program
Location: Berkner High School, 1600 E. Spring Valley, Richardson 75081
When: Wednesdays during school year, 4:00 PM - 6:00PM

SERVICE OPPORTUNITY #3: READING BUDDIES MENTOR
Role: Read to elementary students (ages 5 - 11)
Location: Dunbar Elementary School, 4200 Metropolitan Av., Dallas 75210
When: Wednesdays during school year, 9:25 AM - 10:30 AM
Requirements:
* Satisfactory background check
* Training by DLF staff

DLF PRISON REENTRY MINISTRY

SERVICE OPPORTUNITY#1: PRE-RELEASE TRAINER
Role: Teaching spiritual and practical program curriculum to currently incarcerated men in DLF's Faith-Based dorm
Location: Hutchins State Jail, 1500 Langdon Rd. 75241
When: First and third Mondays, 1:00PM - 3:00PM

SERVICE OPPORTUNITY #2: PRE- AND POST-RELEASE MENTOR
Role: Mentoring opportunities for spiritual and practical development to currently incarcerated men in DLF's Faith-Based dorm (pre-release), or to recently release men in DLF's Transition House (post-release).
Locations: 
Hutchins State Jail, 1500 Langdon Rd. 75241
Transition House: 5251 Beeman Av., Dallas 75223
When: 
Thursdays, 9:00AM - 11:00AM
Thursdays, 1:00PM - 3:00PM
Fridays,  1:00PM - 3:00PM
Requirements:
* Those with records must be out at least 18 months
* Must complete TDCJ training program to be eligible

DLF OFFICE ADMINISTRATION

SERVICE OPPORTUNITY: DATA ENTRY ASSISTANT
Role: Enter collected data into DLF "Apricot" database in support of DLF's service in neighborhoods, prisons, and schools.
Location: DLF's Headquartres - 3101 Greenwood, Dallas 75204
When: 
Mondays, Wednesdays, or Fridays
10:00 AM - Noon, Noon - 2:00PM, or 2:00PM - 4:00PM
Requirement:
* DLF will provide training in its "Apricot" database system
